You may recall my disdain for most exfoliants; you may have read my entire rant regarding plastic nanobits polluting our waterways once we rinse so-called microbeads down the drain. I have found the ultimate solution for facial exfoliants and its name is Arcona!
In a season of sunscreens, lotions, sweat, garden dirt and bad behavior (summer in Indiana), Arcona's Raspberry Resurfacing Pads rescue this dirty girl twice a day, and my skin texture is better for it! With ingredients like tea tree oil and salicylic acid, congested skin clears up as the textured pads help slough off pesky top layers of dead skin and makeup residue.
Arcona products are are "cosmeceutically formulated with pure, natural ingredients cold-processed in small batches to keep them fresh, active and super-effective," according to Beauty.com. ARCONA products are formulated without petrochemicals, binders or fillers, parabens, SLS, perfumes, or dyes. Therefore, this product meets Kitty's approval for eco-friendliness and efficacy! Meow!
LOVE your blog! I couldn't agree with your more about the all the chemicals used in most beauty products. I love and use mostly Dr. Hauschka products. No parabens, perfumes, etc for me!
ReplyDeleteI have a blog about home organization & design and just blogged about an amazing yoga studio that is "green". You will have to check it out.

Wow. I had no idea about the plastic microbeads. My esthetician always says they are better than using natural sources for exfoliation because the natural stuff can scratch your skin. very interesting, I'll have to check into it more.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for stopping by my blog.
rxBambi, I'd be very interested to hear what you think about parabens and endocrine disruption. any thoughts? thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteAs my esthetician is the same as rxbambi's, I guess the "stuff" in my exfoliator is plastic. But I'm trying to "green" myself and my family (not an easy, but yet rewarding, endeavor with my 3 boys (4 if you count hubby). Where do I get this exfoliator? And what about night-time moisturizers? I'm over 40 so the wrinkles are starting to show up!
ReplyDeleteHeard about these from RxBambi and I want to try them!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb and K13 thanks for jumping in. I am blowing through this product because my boys have discovered it! My husband uses it more frequently than I do! I get my Arcona from beauty.com. If you look to the left sidebar and scroll down, you'll see a link that will take you there and explain more about them. Peace, love and fresh skin, kitty.
ReplyDeleteKitty, hello friend! I was wondering if you could recommend a night time moisturizer. Thanks ;)
ReplyDeleteHey Mextacy, hope you see my latest post answering your question! Thanks - Love, kitty.
